PRIVATE ENERGY DATA
Create a private Dataset from BillSave CSV in any enabled market, or from AEMO MDFF NEM12 v2.7 in Australia. The saved Dataset can be reused in Run Bill, Compare Offers and Find Best without loading an IAMMETER Cloud Site.
IAMMETER sign-in identifies your private BillSave workspace so Datasets, parameters, Runs and reports remain available across browsers. Uploading a file does not require an IAMMETER Cloud Site.

AUSTRALIA ONLY
Upload an uncompressed UTF-8 NEM12 file and explicitly map each kWh stream to Grid import/export, Controlled Load import or Ignore.
UPLOAD WORKFLOW
Preview validates the file, detects its interval resolution, reports coverage and quality, and discovers NEM12 streams. Save Dataset is enabled only after the required confirmations are complete.
STEP 1
Use Sign in with IAMMETER in the page header, select a country and open Run Bill. Under Energy data source, choose Uploaded data.
STEP 2
Use a recognisable name such as “August electricity data”. Select the IANA timezone that applies at the connection, for example Australia/Sydney or Europe/London. BillSave checks CSV timestamp offsets against this timezone.

The simplest format contains one interval per row:

BillSave accepts AEMO MDFF NEM12 v2.7 only in the Australian market. The file must be uncompressed UTF-8 text with valid 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 and 900 record ordering where those records apply.
Preview masks customer identifiers and lists the discovered kWh streams. For every stream choose:
STEP 5
Check the detected format, timezone, interval resolution, first and last interval, number of intervals, energy totals, gaps, overlaps and quality. Estimated or substituted source intervals remain disclosed; missing dates are not silently changed to zero.
Real 5 or 15-minute source series are preserved and can be summed into the normal 30-minute billing series. A 30-minute source is never split into invented finer data.
STEP 6
Select Save dataset after Preview passes. The private file, normalized intervals, stream mapping and content hashes are saved server-side under your user account. Re-uploading identical data can reuse the same revision; changing a NEM12 mapping creates a new revision rather than rewriting historical Runs.
STEP 7
Select the saved Dataset and a billing period contained within its coverage. The same immutable revision can be used for:
Offer-specific customer parameters are saved against the Dataset and TariffVersion, so they can be restored after changing browser. An Offer that requires unavailable interval resolution or incomplete actual coverage is blocked or disclosed rather than estimated silently.
TROUBLESHOOTING
CSV offsets must match the chosen IANA timezone at each timestamp. Use explicit offsets through daylight-saving changes.
A single CSV must not mix 5, 15 and 30-minute rows. Export or normalize one consistent source series.
Intervals must be chronological and non-overlapping. Preview reports missing coverage instead of inventing energy.
Every discovered kWh stream needs an explicit role or Ignore selection before the Dataset can be saved.
Uploaded files are private account data and are not placed in public URLs, GA4 events or search pages. Avoid sharing complete NMI, MPAN, meter serial or account identifiers in public support posts.
